About The Position

Journeyman Maintenance Technician must be a skilled, fully trained tradesperson who performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on equipment, machinery, or facilities, typically after completing an apprenticeship or equivalent experience. This position is expected to work primarily in industrial settings, professionalism, adherence to safety protocols, and "team player" is an essential requirement for this position.

Requirements

• Completed apprenticeship, trade school, or several years of experience
• Journeyman certification (in some trades/regions)
• Ability to work shifts, including nights or weekends
• Physical ability for lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods
• Professionalism, adherence to safety protocols, and "team player" is an essential requirement

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical and electrical systems (motors, conveyors, PLCs, etc.)
• Blueprint and schematic reading
• Use of hand and power tools
• Problem-solving and critical thinking
• Basic computer or CMMS (maintenance software) skills

Responsibilities

• Inspect and service equipment to prevent failures
• Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues
• Identify root causes of equipment problems
• Set up and test new machinery or systems
• Follow OSHA and company safety standards
• Record maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used
