About The Position

Audubon is currently seeking a Journeyman II - (Licensed-Electrician) to join our team in our Offsite Office. The Journeyman II will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems within the scope for the job for industrial settings.

Requirements

  • Five years' experience in the construction industry.
  • Five years' experience as a journeyman electrician.
  • Must be able to obtain site and Safety training certifications required for the project.
  • Construction safety practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and HSE guidelines.
  • Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work and safety procedures.
  • Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.
  • Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements.
  • Must have TLDR.

Nice To Haves

  • Related trade school education is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify all tools required for tasks.
  • Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
  • Assist in the cutting, bending and running of the conduit as specified on blueprints.
  • Assist in the installation, modification, and fabrication of cable tray as necessary according to specifications.
  • Assist in pulling the cable through specified pathways.
  • Assist in the assembly and installation of electrical equipment.
  • Assist in terminating wires and cables to electrical equipment such as but not limited to breakers, control panels, and distribution systems.
  • Assist in the testing of electrical components for continuity and proper voltage readings according to specifications.
  • Assist in the inspection of electrical equipment and components to identify hazards and to ensure the equipment is in good operational condition.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of temporary power systems.
  • Assist in the installation of and maintenance of the grounding systems for all equipment and structures.
  • Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety
  • Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
  • Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
  • Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements
