As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing thorough maintenance on all types of HVAC equipment, accurately diagnosing system issues, identifying potential breakdowns, and recommending appropriate solutions to customers. Excellent communication and sales skills are essential for this role.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • HVAC Certified/EPA
  • Journeyman License
  • 3+ years of HVAC experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Time management skills
  • Basic software understanding
  • Self-motivation
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Basic computer skills
  • The ability to use various hand and power tools common to trade
  • The ability to learn through observation and hands on experience

  • The ability to communicate with team members and customers effectively
  • Being capable of maintaining professional working relationships with team members
  • The ability to understand, analyze, interpret, and implement ideas contained in technical documents, reports, regulations, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough maintenance on all ages of equipment.
  • Accurately diagnose heating and air conditioning system issues.
  • Recognize potential breakdown issues before they happen and make appropriate recommendations to the customer.
  • Address and handle new/returning customers’ concerns appropriately, timely, and accurately.
  • Manage stress, difficult, or emotional customer situations.
  • Operate company vehicles, following all state and federal laws, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and routine maintenance.
  • Adhere to safety responsibilities and requirements provided in training.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, meters, and all other test equipment utilized in the trade.
  • Perform skilled maintenance work in the repair, installation, and alteration of HVAC equipment, components, timers, motors, and any other wiring system as needed.
  • Present options to homeowners for repairs and replacements.
  • Submit customer invoices via company iPad, correctly documenting customer equipment information, diagnostics, and all recommended repairs.
  • Perform proper maintenance on heating and air conditioning systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure client safety and comfort.
  • Communicate options to clients for maintenance, repairs, and replacement.
  • Speak and maintain professionalism with customers, team members, and vendors.
