The Journeyman Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of complex building systems. This position requires a highly skilled and versatile professional with deep expertise in automated building controls and the ability to perform a broad range of technical, mechanical, and trade-related tasks. Ideal candidates thrive in a hands-on environment, enjoy problem‑solving, and can adapt to diverse maintenance and engineering challenges across a facility.
Requirements
- Must have successfully completed extensive specialized training courses or demonstrated ability and experience may be accepted in lieu of education.
- 4 years of building control systems inspection, testing, repair and maintenance in a hospital environment.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree in Electronics, Mechanical Systems, Building Control Technology, HVAC, or similar field.

- Perform a wide variety of work requiring high skill levels and abilities, including but not limited to: Electricity, Electronics, Sheet metal work, Welding, Mechanics, Machine shop work, Hydraulics, Plumbing, Painting, Ventilation work, Carpentry, Plastering, Concrete and masonry work, Ceiling installation, Floor installation, Motors.
