The Journeyman Engineer position involves following safe practices and complying with company and regulatory standards. The qualified candidate will be able to operate or assist in operating various site equipment including heating and ventilating equipment, engines, turbines, motors, pumps, air compressors, ice and refrigerating machines, air conditioning units, fans, and siphons. This role requires flexibility and willingness to complete all assigned tasks. Responsibilities include working with internal and external customers on technical issues, providing work scope recommendations, and conducting failure investigations. The engineer may be assigned to various engineering departments based on current needs and will provide engineering support for a wide range of systems, maintenance programs, engines, and operational engineering functions. A key aspect of the role is the ability to understand, analyze, and solve problems related to the design, operation, maintenance, performance, or repair of vehicles/equipment and their components. This includes logically approaching problem-solving, defining maintenance programs or configurations, and ensuring safe and legal operations. The position also involves reviewing Service Bulletins (SBs) from manufacturers, developing solutions and implementation plans, conducting cost/benefit analyses, managing project implementation, and coordinating warranty recovery for applicable SBs. The Journeyman Engineer will organize and manage priorities for assigned responsibilities, ensuring all deliverables for projects, maintenance program changes, and technical specification revisions are met. Coordination with other operational groups is essential to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and efficiency.
