About The Position
Jetson is looking for individuals in Ontario, CA with deep residential electrical install experience to help improve processes and procedures for high quality and efficiency. The role involves working as part of a crew to remove gas furnaces, install electric heat pump systems, and collaborate with engineering teams on product and install process improvements. Jetson's mission is to accelerate the transition of 100 million homes across North America away from fossil fuels toward sustainable energy use, believing in a future that is 100% electric and 100% better. They achieve this by building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company, making clean energy simple, transparent, and affordable, relying heavily on technology, automation, and data.
Requirements
- Extensive residential retrofit experience required
- Journeyman/Licensed electrician in Ontario, California and surrounding areas preferred but other licenses or certifications considered
- Well versed in newer technologies like SMART panels, splitters, sub-panels, to optimize when faced with main panel or full service upgrades
- Well versed in modern residential electrical building codes
- Strong knowledge of power tools and hand tools used in electrical work
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Install required electrical to support heat pump installs
- Calculate electrical loads
- Upgrade main electrical panels as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
- Test electrical systems for functionality and efficiency
