About The Position

Wicehtowak Frontec Services is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Jansen, SK. The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, installation/dismantling of electrical systems. The Jansen discovery Lodge is a workforce housing facility in support of the potash mine. The camp is located 155 kilometers east of Saskatoon, SK. Our positions work on a 14 day on, 7 days off rotation. Accommodations and meals during your work rotations are provided by the company.

Requirements

• Journeyman Certified Electrician (Red Seal) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Current certificates in Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform
• Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to read drawings and schematics
• Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
• Final candidates will be required to undergo a criminal record check, drug and alcohol test, and fit for work medical assessment.

Responsibilities

• Complete timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects / deficiencies
• Conduct timely maintenance services and quality repair of equipment
• Provide input to the Maintenance Coordinator for the planned and scheduled work and assist with the completion of the committed schedule
• Assist with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meets the requirements of the appropriate codes
• Other duties as assigned
