About The Position

Texas Trades is seeking licensed journeyman electricians for an airport project in Houston. This full-time position offers competitive pay and the opportunity for overtime in a safe and supportive work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical experience in large commercial and/or industrial electrical work.
  • Proven experience in electrical conduit installation, blueprint reading, motor controls, pulling conductors, and terminating conductors.
  • Proof of experience and hours worked in electrical construction.
  • Proof of apprenticeship training or other applicable trade-related training.
  • Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug screen and physical examination.
  • Ability to show hours worked and provide work history.
  • Must be local to the Houston, TX area (no travelers).
  • Applicants will be interviewed and tested to assess competency in the trade.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain electrical conduit systems and equipment in large airport setting.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Install, terminate, and test electrical conductors.
  • Install and troubleshoot motor controls and related equipment.
  • Ensure all electrical installations comply with local and national electrical codes.
  • Perform electrical work efficiently and safely, maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Work with a team to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment.
