About The Position

The Journeyman Electrician plays a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role involves wiring, troubleshooting, and ensuring that solar energy systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with electrical codes and industry standards. The electrician must have extensive knowledge of both AC and DC electrical systems, be proficient in reading blueprints, and be able to work on rooftops. Out of state travel is required for this position. Requirements

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Arkansas Journeyman Electrician license is required.
Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and an insurable driving record are required.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of five years of electrical trade experience and one year of foreman experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Install solar electrical systems.
Procure all materials necessary for the timely completion of assigned projects.
Maintain a weekly schedule and report progress throughout the week.
Verify the quality and operability of installed systems.
Ensure all assigned projects are installed according to all applicable codes.
Test electrical equipment or systems to ensure proper functionality.
Interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams to inform installation, development, or operation activities.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Troubleshoot issues and adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
