Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification required
  • Four or more years of commercial and or industrial electrical experience
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to perform assigned work independently and without constant supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Strong conduit bending and electrical troubleshooting capability
  • Experience leading small tasks or directing apprentices
  • Working knowledge of NEC Chapters 1 through 9
  • Experience in both commercial and industrial environments
  • Equivalent combinations of education, certification, and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including wiring, transformers, switchgear, motors, and related components
  • Independently bend and install EMT, rigid, and PVC conduit to specification
  • Install, pull, terminate, and test power, control, and low-voltage cabling, including CAT6 and data systems
  • Perform electrical terminations, equipment hookups, and device installations
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions without unnecessary escalation
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to execute accurate installations
  • Perform all work in compliance with NEC standards, local codes, and site-specific safety requirements
  • Identify unsafe conditions or installation issues and correct them proactively
  • Coordinate with other trades, contractors, and supervision to maintain production schedules
  • Train and mentor apprentices by setting expectations and demonstrating proper methods
  • Accurately document work performed and materials used based on project and performance expectations
  • Maintain required tools and comply with company tool and equipment policies
