About The Position

The Journeyman Electrician will install, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and inspect Electrical and Instrumentation equipment within an industrial environment. This position should exhibit professionalism, a positive attitude, and technical competence while performing duties. He/She must work diligently to ensure codes and OBR standards are met while the project is completed safely and efficiently. This position may require travel depending on project location with per diem, mileage, and gas reimbursement being offered.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Reliable transportation
  • Knowledge and application of safety standards
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and best practices through training, vocational schooling, or apprenticeship program
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Electrician in a construction/industrial setting.
  • Negative 10-panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Satisfactory background check.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical and instrumentation set ups.
  • Bend pipe.
  • Overtime and weekend work based on job demands.
  • Always maintain a safe work environment including the use of PPE.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to plan electrical installations.
  • Perform electrical inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Install and repair wiring, lighting fixtures, outlets, and circuit breakers.
  • Test electrical systems using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other electricians and contractors on larger projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
