About The Position

Hunt Electric, Inc. of Highlands Ranch, CO is searching for full-time Licensed Journeyman Electricians to join our team. This role involves planning and executing electrical installations according to specifications and codes, utilizing various electrical tools for installation and maintenance, and performing electrical testing and troubleshooting to ensure safety and functionality. The position requires adherence to safety procedures, including lockout tag out, and contributing to a positive team environment with dependable attendance.

Requirements

Hold a current and valid Colorado Journeyman license.
Knowledge of electrical theory and its application.
Knowledge of safety procedures associated with electrical construction.
Knowledge of common safety procedures of all types.
Knowledge of electrical construction and maintenance practices and procedures.
Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including indoor, outdoor, and underground systems.
Skill in planning, designing, organizing, and executing electrical projects mandated by changing codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
Ability to analyze electrical problems and devise and carry out effective plans for repairing problems.
Ability to communicate technical information, listen to instructions, and ask questions as necessary.
Skill in the practical application of electrical testing devices.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical plans, complex circuit schematics, and blueprints.
Ability to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to climb ladders.
Sufficient mobility to perform duties in small spaces by crouching, stooping, or kneeling.
Physical ability to perform tasks requiring strength and finger dexterity.
Ability to lift heavy objects up to 100 lbs. (Anything that appears too awkward and heavy may require getting help to lift).
Have a valid Driver's License.
Knowledge of the current National Electrical Code and local electrical codes.

Responsibilities

Plan new or modified electrical installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, or unreliable wiring, ensuring consistency with specifications and local building and electrical codes.
Follow diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, and assemble electrical raceways, conduit, or wire using proper electrical tools.
Pull conductors through conduit using appropriate tools, from small fish tape to large wire pulling equipment.
Connect wiring to lighting fixtures, power to mechanical and other equipment, and install grounding leads.
Perform electrical testing, including metering, continuity, amperage, ohm, and voltage measurements, to ensure electrical compatibility and safety.
Troubleshoot electrical systems by observing functionality to identify hazards and determine necessary adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
Perform lockout tag out procedures to safely repair faulty electrical equipment or systems.
Actively contribute to a positive team environment.
Demonstrate dependability with regular attendance and compliance with scheduled work hours.
Be a self-starter.
Perform other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.
