About The Position

RANDALL Construction’s Electrical division is seeking highly motivated, safety-focused Journeyman Electricians to join our growing team on projects in Orlando and across Central Florida. The ideal candidate possesses strong commercial electrical experience, demonstrates exceptional craftsmanship, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced construction environment. This individual will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and testing commercial electrical systems while upholding Randall's commitment to safety, quality, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. We are looking for professionals who take pride in their work, lead by example, and contribute to building a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • State Journeyman Electrician License (where required) or equivalent verifiable experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of commercial electrical experience with demonstrated leadership, quality workmanship, and a strong commitment to safety.
  • Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local building codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, one-line diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Proficient in the use of tablets, smartphones, and construction management software for timekeeping, daily reports, project documentation, viewing drawings, punch lists, and team communication.
  • Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with project teams, customers, inspectors, and other trades.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings, including background check and drug screening.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Ability to plan work efficiently, maintain productivity, and consistently deliver high-quality installations with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of commercial electrical construction practices.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA and company policies.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining quality workmanship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on healthcare, education, multifamily, hospitality, industrial, or large commercial construction projects.
  • Experience operating aerial lifts, forklifts, and other construction equipment.
  • Experience mentoring apprentices and promoting a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and project specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Install conduit systems including EMT, Rigid, PVC, MC Cable, and associated raceway systems.
  • Install and terminate electrical equipment including panels, switchgear, transformers, lighting, receptacles, and control devices.
  • Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
  • Identify and resolve electrical issues while maintaining project schedules.
  • Coordinate daily work with Foremen, Superintendents, Project Managers, and other construction trades.
  • Mentor apprentices by demonstrating proper installation techniques, safe work practices, and quality workmanship.
  • Utilize company technology to complete daily reports, document field progress, record completed work, and communicate project updates.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Represent Randall professionally with customers, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors, and fellow team members.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality workmanship while maintaining productivity goals.
