About The Position

We are looking for a Journeyman Electrician to perform residential service work. The ideal candidate is great at working independently but also enjoys teamwork. A key aspect of this role is providing excellent customer service, communicating effectively with customers who may be stressed, and assuring them they are in good hands. You will be responsible for servicing, installing, reconnecting, and upgrading electrical systems, as well as heating and air conditioning equipment, and water heaters. This role involves analyzing work orders, following a daily schedule, listening to customer concerns, performing designated work, and proactively solving problems. You will also maintain truck inventory, troubleshoot and diagnose residential electrical issues, and adhere to local and state codes. Additionally, you will install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems, and identify, repair, or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using testing devices and various tools.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience of residential electrical work
  • Journeyman License (required)
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to provide repair versus replacement options to customers
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of required tools
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Clean driving record
  • Basic computer skills, ability to use an iPad to document work
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in the English language
