Polar Field Services, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Electrician to perform field electric maintenance, repairs, and installation in Summit Station, Greenland. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current journeyman or master electrician license
- 4+ years of documented experience in all phases of electrical work, including rough-in, trim-out, wiring of electrical equipment and fixtures, conduit installation, and power distribution wiring
- Experience with generators, switchgears, breakers, and disconnects
- Valid driver's license
- Valid United States passport
- Willingness to work outside on various job sites in extreme cold weather conditions
Nice To Haves
- Experience with remote and cold or polar environments
- Certification on the "NFPA 70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace"
- Experience with commercial and industrial facility construction
- Experience with controls
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair a variety of electrical components, including branch circuits, power distribution wiring, generators, and lighting systems.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on existing electrical systems.
- Perform ongoing risk and hazard assessments.
- Respond to emergency service calls.
- Occasionally direct the work of helpers.
- Keep supervisor informed on job progress and requirements.
- Attend safety meetings and morning pre-task stretching sessions.
- Assist team with camp support, including cooking, equipment operation, digging, and camp construction.
