Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current journeyman or master electrician license
  • 4+ years of documented experience in all phases of electrical work, including rough-in, trim-out, wiring of electrical equipment and fixtures, conduit installation, and power distribution wiring
  • Experience with generators, switchgears, breakers, and disconnects
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid United States passport
  • Willingness to work outside on various job sites in extreme cold weather conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with remote and cold or polar environments
  • Certification on the "NFPA 70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace"
  • Experience with commercial and industrial facility construction
  • Experience with controls

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair a variety of electrical components, including branch circuits, power distribution wiring, generators, and lighting systems.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on existing electrical systems.
  • Perform ongoing risk and hazard assessments.
  • Respond to emergency service calls.
  • Occasionally direct the work of helpers.
  • Keep supervisor informed on job progress and requirements.
  • Attend safety meetings and morning pre-task stretching sessions.
  • Assist team with camp support, including cooking, equipment operation, digging, and camp construction.
