Requirements

  • Hold a valid MN Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • Have at least 5 years of industrial/commercial experience in the electrical trade
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations
  • Proficiency in interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Installation knowledge of industrial controls and machine wiring
  • Basic understanding of industrial control drawings and blueprints
  • Able to install all levels of industrial raceways to include but not limited to: Rigid metal conduit, Intermediate metal conduit, Stainless steel conduit, PVC coated conduit
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of electrical installations for various projects, including commercial, industrial, food manufacturing, medical, and institutional.
  • Lead a crew of up to 10 electricians, organizing tasks and material needs.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, identifying the root causes of issues and providing effective repair solutions.
  • Conduct inspections of existing electrical systems to assess their condition and identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that all electrical work is carried out in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations. Keep informed of all updates and changes in electrical codes to maintain compliance.
  • Prioritize safety at all times and adhere to established safety protocols and guidelines. Recognize potential hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks for yourself, other team members, and customers.
  • Collaborate with electricians, and other construction personnel to execute projects efficiently and safely to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Mentor and guide Apprentices to foster their growth and development in the electrical trade.
  • Interact professionally with customers, offering exceptional customer service and addressing their questions or concerns regarding electrical installations and repairs.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
