About The Position
MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Journeyman Electrician - 2nd Shift at our Farmington Hills, Michigan manufacturing facility. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems and equipment to support safe, reliable manufacturing operations.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Ability to interpret work instructions and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues in wiring, switches, motors, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using appropriate hand tools and testing instruments.
- Replace faulty switches, sockets, and other electrical-system components.
- Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts, including gears, brushes, and armatures.
- Install and mount motors, transformers, lighting fixtures, and related electrical equipment, and complete circuits according to diagrams and specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, work instructions, and other technical documentation while applying knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Inspect completed work for conformance with applicable local building and safety codes.
- Estimate labor and material needs for electrical projects and requisition electrical supplies and equipment as needed.
- Complete required documentation accurately and support 5S, safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
