About The Position

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a full-time Journeyman Electrician in Auburn, Alabama. This position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship, as visa sponsorship or work authorization support is not provided. The role involves supervising and coordinating craft workers, interpreting specifications and blueprints, ensuring project safety activities are completed and documented, inspecting the quality and quantity of finished work, analyzing and resolving work problems, and performing other duties as directed by a supervisor. The job also requires working from all types of ladders and complying with all company and customer safety policies and procedures. Travel may be required.

Requirements

5 or more years recent commercial electrical field experience
Current state Electrical Journeyman license
OSHA 10 or ability to obtain
Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check
Successfully pass MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship

Responsibilities

Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers
Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervision
Confirms completion & documentation of project safety activities as directed
Inspects quality and quantity of finished work to ensure conformance to specifications
Analyzes and resolves work problems
Completes other duties as directed by supervisor
Works from all types of ladders
Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures
