About The Position

Jetson is seeking individuals with deep residential electrical install experience in Marlborough, MA to join their mission of accelerating the transition of homes to sustainable energy. The role involves improving processes and procedures for high quality and efficiency in home electrification. Responsibilities include working as part of a crew to remove gas furnaces, install electric heat pump systems, and collaborate with engineering teams on product and installation improvements. Jetson values individuals who are excellent at their craft, curious about new tools (including AI), and motivated to continuously improve work processes.

Requirements

• Extensive residential retrofit experience required
• Journeyman/Licensed electrician in Marlborough, MA and surrounding areas preferred but other licenses or certifications considered
• Well versed in newer technologies like SMART panels, splitters, sub-panels, to optimize when faced with main panel or full service upgrades
• Well versed in modern residential electrical building codes
• Strong knowledge of power tools and hand tools used in electrical work
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Install required electrical to support heat pump installs
• Calculate electrical loads
• Upgrade main electrical panels as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
• Test electrical systems for functionality and efficiency
