About The Position

Loenbro is seeking Journeyman Electricians in the Omaha, Nebraska area. This is a project-based position for safety-focused, self-motivated electricians with experience in commercial and industrial electrical environments. The Journeyman Electrician will work independently and as part of a team to install, start up, troubleshoot, commission, maintain and service electrical equipment and systems. Work may include data center, industrial, heavy commercial, and other complex electrical projects based on business and project needs. The ideal candidate will work safely in accordance with applicable codes and standards, and approved procedures, while collaborating with project teams and other trades to deliver high-quality work on schedule. Candidates must possess a valid Nebraska Journeyman Electrician license in good standing or be eligible to obtain Nebraska licensure through reciprocity.

Requirements

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license with demonstrated commercial and/or industrial electrical experience.
  • Must possess a valid Nebraska electrical license in good standing or be eligible to obtain Nebraska licensure through reciprocity.
  • Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent qualifying electrical training and experience.
  • Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and/or commissioning commercial or industrial electrical systems.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, riser diagrams, and project specifications.
  • Proficiency with conduit installation and bending, cable tray layout, wire terminations, and electrical installation methods.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable electrical safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a project team.
  • Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, able to meet applicable pre-employment requirements, and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience.
  • Experience working on data center, industrial, heavy commercial, or other complex electrical projects.
  • Experience with switchgear, transfer schemes, controllers, electrical distribution systems, and related equipment.
  • Experience with start-up, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and load bank operations.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment in industrial, data center, and heavy commercial environments.
  • Install conduit, cable tray, conductors, electrical equipment, terminations, and related electrical systems in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, riser diagrams, and project specifications to complete electrical installations accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform start-up, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of electrical systems and related equipment.
  • Work with electrical distribution and control systems, which may include switchgear, transfer schemes, controllers, and related equipment.
  • Use conduit bending tools and perform cable tray layout, wire terminations, and other electrical installation activities as required.
  • Follow applicable electrical safety procedures, including established lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements and company safety policies.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable NEC requirements, project specifications, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Identify and communicate potential safety, quality, or installation concerns to appropriate project leadership.
  • Collaborate with project teams, clients, and other trades to support safe, efficient project execution and on-time completion.
  • Maintain accurate documentation as required by project and company procedures.
  • Perform additional electrical duties as assigned based on project and business needs.
