About The Position

Stronghold Engineering is an award-winning Electrical Contractor seeking strong, experienced Journeyman Electricians to support its growth in the San Diego area. This role involves working on projects in San Diego County, California. The ideal candidate must be a California-certified electrician.

Requirements

Current General Electrical Certification issued by the Department of Industrial Relationship, Division of Apprenticeship Standards.
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Installs and monitors performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
Leads, guides, and/or trains other electricians in applicable procedures and techniques.
Installs and maintains various types of motors, lighting fixtures, generators, circuit breakers, and transformers.
Interprets blueprints; works from sketches or verbal instructions.
Plans electrical secondary system additions and modifications.
May perform the work of lower level electricians.
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Reads, employs and updates electrical panel schedules and building or system blueprints.
Presents self in a professional manner, provides open and honest communication, and demonstrates respect to co-workers and customers.
Prepares special reports and correspondence as requested by supervisor.
