North American Millwright Services (NAMS) is expanding its Electrical Division to meet the growing needs of its industrial clients along the East Coast, specifically in MD, WV, and DE. This role offers an opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team. They specialize in fabrication, general contracting, heavy hauling, industrial maintenance, machinery installation, plant relocation, process piping and welding, rigging, and warehousing, serving critical operations across various industries. Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA); and pertinent electrical codes and regulations
  • Customer-focused mindset

  • Problem-solving skills
  • Valid drivers’ license
  • Must have own tools
  • Journeyman license preferred; or enrolled in the fourth/final year of an apprenticeship program
  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in an industrial manufacturing or mining environment
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing/mining equipment and electrical systems/high speed production equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to travel independently to multi-state customer job sites; for extended period at times
  • Strong manual dexterity and eye to hand coordination
  • Ability to identify wires by their distinct colors

Responsibilities

  • Fosters the safest possible working environment by adhering to federal (OSHA/MSHA), state, and/or local safety regulations; and all company policies
  • Ensures that electrical systems adhere to the national electrical standards and regulations
  • Installs electrical systems
  • Uses blue prints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete projects
  • Completes work orders and recording materials used on the job
  • Conducts general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshoots electrical issues with testing equipment
  • Identifies electrical problems and repairs them
  • Works individually or as part of a team to successfully complete projects
  • Projects a professional and respectful demeanor at all times when representing the Company; demonstrates self-control
  • Provides guidance, coaching and mentoring to less experienced team members
  • Conducts workplace exams prior to each shift; identifies and promptly resolves hazards
  • Conducts and documents pre-shift inspections on equipment and hand-tools; immediately reports safety defects identified
  • Provides daily project updates including productivity and other relevant project information
  • Performs other projects and duties as assigned
