About The Position

North American Millwright Services (NAMS) is seeking to expand its Electrical Division to meet the growing needs of its industrial clients along the East Coast, especially MD, WV, and DE. This is an opportunity to join a growing, dynamic team. NAMS specializes in fabrication, general contracting, heavy hauling, industrial maintenance, machinery installation, plant relocation, process piping and welding, rigging, and warehousing, supporting complex, mission-critical operations across a wide range of industries. Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA); and pertinent electrical codes and regulations.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Motivated, self-starter.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in an industrial manufacturing or mining environment.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing/mining equipment and electrical systems/high speed production equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman license preferred; or enrolled in the fourth/final year of an apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic systems, wiring, fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
  • Foster the safest possible working environment by adhering to federal (OSHA/MSHA), state, and/or local safety regulations; and all company policies.
  • Ensure that electrical systems adhere to national electrical standards and regulations.
  • Install electrical systems.
  • Use blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete projects.
  • Complete work orders and record materials used on the job.
  • Conduct general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshoot electrical issues with testing equipment.
  • Identify and repair electrical problems.
  • Work individually or as part of a team to successfully complete projects.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to less experienced team members.
  • Conduct workplace exams prior to each shift; identify and promptly resolve hazards.
  • Conduct and document pre-shift inspections on equipment and hand-tools; immediately report safety defects identified.
  • Provide daily project updates including productivity and other relevant project information.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
