The CAT Rental Store (TCRS) is looking for a dual ticketed Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our amazing team based in Calgary. You will be responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of rental equipment including construction tools, small engine equipment (compaction equipment, pumps to compact construction equipment (e.g. Mini excavators and skid steers)); knowledge of diesel generators 8 KW to 200 KW is beneficial. Requirements
- Journeyperson Electrical & Heavy Duty Mechanic certifications
- Must possess the technical knowledge to perform service tasks on our product line ranging from construction tools, small engine equipment such as compaction equipment, pumps to compact construction equipment (e.g. Mini excavators and skid steers,) aerial work platform equipment as well as knowledge of diesel generators 8 KW to 200 KW
- Possesses excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and abilities
- Good understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems
- Thorough knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine electronic management systems
- Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- Completion of Finning S-Levels, Failure Analysis, Machine Electronic Controls, or Tier 4 training would be considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair TCRS fleet of equipment
- Perform service tasks on our product line ranging from construction tools, small engine equipment such as compaction equipment, pumps to compact construction equipment (e.g. Mini excavators and skid steers,) aerial work platforms
- Interfaces with customers in the field on service calls in a courteous, business-like manner
