About The Position
Colwin Electrical Group is seeking motivated individuals to join their team for a project in University Heights, Victoria (Saanich), BC. This is a full-time temporary position with a start date of September 2026 and an approximate duration of 6-8 months. The role involves regular daytime business hours. Requirements
- Red Seal Certification (for Journeyman/Electrician).
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Honest and hard working.
- Physically capable of the work required.
- Possession of hand tools and a drill/impact driver set.
- Punctual, consistent, and reliable.
- Strong desire to constantly learn and acquire new skills.
- Reside in or near Vancouver and be able to commute daily.

- Wood frame electrical construction experience.
- Steel frame electrical construction experience.
- Concrete electrical construction experience.
- Service electrical work experience.
- Renovation electrical work experience.
Responsibilities
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, components, and equipment.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions using test equipment.
- Inspecting new installations and existing electrical systems to ensure safety and code compliance.
- Adhering to safety regulations and guidelines.
- Learning the basics of electrical work under the guidance of a licensed electrician (for apprentices).
- Learning how to read blueprints, install various applications, and troubleshoot electrical systems (for apprentices).
- Learning safety protocols and how to use necessary tools and equipment (for apprentices).
- Following instructions and working well with others (for apprentices).
