About The Position
In business since 1960, we are an open shop, multi-trade, specialty contractor serving Atlantic Canada. Our three main operating divisions include: Construction Management, Electrical Contracting and Communication Cabling. The OSCO Construction Group was founded in 1955, with the creation of Ocean Steel & Construction Ltd., in Saint John, New Brunswick. Since that time, the OSCO Construction Group has grown to encompass four main operating sectors: Steel, Concrete, Construction and Corporate. Within these sectors lie an ever-expanding number of companies and divisions, serving a growing market area and employing over twelve hundred employees.
Requirements
- Journeyman carpentry certificate
- Experience taking lead on projects and managing a team
- Valid drivers license
- Exposure to blue print reading
Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance team and ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Rough and/or finish carpentry including demolition and full rebuilds of interior spaces.
- Drywall, Painting, Flooring, Installation of doors, windows, and hardware, Casework.
- Determine the appropriate amount of material needed to complete tasks.
- Ensure job site is kept clean and safe.
- Other odd jobs as required
