About The Position

At Northeastern Chimney in West Hartford, CT, we are expanding our skilled masonry team and seeking an experienced full-time Journeyman Brick Mason to support continued growth and rising customer demand. You can earn up to $35 an hour based on experience, along with performance-based earning incentives. We also provide paid holidays, paid time off, paid birthday off, and a 401(k) because your time and future matter. You'll dispatch directly from home with flexible weekday scheduling options that support work-life balance, including 7 am–4 pm, 8 am–5 pm, or 9 am–5 pm, Monday through Friday. You approach each project with precision, performing brick, block, and stone masonry work that meets exacting standards for level, plumb, and pattern. You restore and rebuild chimneys and masonry structures, install step and counter flashing systems, and assess masonry damage, including spalling, efflorescence, and weather-related wear. Your work routinely involves ladders, roofs, and staging, and you assist with job site setup to ensure safety and efficiency. Throughout the day, you communicate clearly with both customers and teammates, helping each project progress smoothly and professionally.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of masonry experience
  • Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and materials
  • Comfortable working at heights and in tight spaces (attics, roofs)
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 80 pounds
  • Understanding of OSHA safety standards, especially fall protection
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work on a team or independently
  • Problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
