You will conduct preventative maintenance, inspect critical vehicle components such as brakes, fuel systems, and engines, and repair or replace parts as needed. In addition, you will mentor apprentices and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of multiple makes and model
  • Provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate (completed or in progress)
  • Completion of related post-secondary programs or training courses
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • High level of integrity
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record

  • Red Seal Certification is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance efficiently and accurately, following dealership and OEM standards
  • Communicate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production, cycle times, and customer updates
  • Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend necessary repairs to ensure vehicle safety and reliability
  • Document all work in repair orders to meet OEM standards and ensure warranty compliance
  • Maintain personal inventory of commonly used tools not provided by the Service department
  • Stay up to date on factory technical bulletins andparticipatein factory-sponsored training classes
  • Deliver an exceptional repair experience that drives customer loyalty and department revenue
