Prince Albert Toyota is growing and has an immediate opening for an experienced Journeyman Automotive Technician. Requirements
- Hold a Journeyman certification or an Interprovincial Red Seal in the Automotive Service Technician trade.
- Possess a comprehensive, professional set of automotive hand tools.
- The ability to lift heavy parts, use complex heavy equipment (like hoists), and interpret technical service manuals and wiring diagrams.
- A valid driver's license (e.g., a Saskatchewan Class 5) with a clean abstract.
Nice To Haves
- SGI accreditation is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Use advanced scan tools and computerized diagnostic equipment to accurately identify mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
- Perform component-level and system-wide repairs on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes, and exhaust systems.
- Execute standard servicing like oil changes, fluid flushes, tire rotations, and wheel alignments.
- Road-test vehicles and adjust repaired systems to guarantee they meet or exceed factory performance specifications.
- Keep accurate records of labor hours, parts used, and inspection findings for service advisors and customers.
- Guide and oversee junior apprentices while maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
