About The Position

Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Portland & Seattle is seeking an ambitious Journey Level Service Plumber with a Washington PL01 license who thrives in a performance pay model. This role focuses on residential service plumbing, including fixtures, water heaters, leak repairs, water services, and re-pipes, with occasional light commercial work. The ideal candidate is a courteous professional who enjoys diagnosing problems, presenting options, and completing all aspects of the job, contributing to the company's reputation for excellent customer service and its goal of protecting the community's health through professional resolution of water and wastewater system problems. This position also involves mentoring the next generation of plumbers through occasional ride-alongs and serving as a remote technical reference.

Requirements

• Hold a Washington PL01 plumbing license.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Mr. Rooter customer service system, earning trust, diagnosing residential plumbing problems, and presenting multiple options with up-front, flat-rate pricing for customer approval before starting any work.
• Personally complete every step of the process, resolving 90% of calls in a single visit.
• Demonstrate technical excellence in residential service plumbing, including fixtures, water heaters, leak repairs, water services, and re-pipes, with some light commercial work.
• Train the next generation of the plumbing trade by being available as a remote technical reference and hosting occasional ride-alongs for trainees.
