This role is for an experienced pipefitter with over 10 years of hands-on experience who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and enjoys collaborating with engineers and project teams. Requirements
- Journey-level pipefitting experience with a completed apprenticeship program or minimum of 10-15 years of experience
- Skill in pipe joining techniques such as threading, soldering, brazing, and welding (MIG, TIG, FCAW)
- Strong blueprint reading skills and trade mathematics
- Physical ability to perform pipefitter tasks including working from heights and confined spaces
- Availability for a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 2:30pm, with flexibility for overtime and travel.
Nice To Haves
- Holding a 6G pipe welder certification is advantageous
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
- CDL Class A license preferred
Responsibilities
- Cut, fit, and install pipe systems for custom industrial machines and process skids
- Join pipe by means of threading, soldering, brazing, MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding techniques
- Read and work from engineer-issued blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Travel to local customer sites in the Rochester area, with occasional overtime and per diem travel for projects outside the region
- Operate material movement equipment to safely lift and position pipes, supports, and heavy machinery
- Inspect pipe systems and identify issues early to ensure work meets quality standards
- Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, programmers, planners, project managers, and customers
- Follow workplace safety procedures, participate in toolbox talks, and report any unsafe conditions
