About The Position

Compass Point is looking for a Joint Training Information Systems Senior Technician to work at SOCKOR in Seoul, South Korea. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! Utilize IT, information management systems, and web-based databases to identify, collect, analyze, store, and disseminate the data required to execute the Joint Training System (JTS). Use network technology to capture metrics and supporting data to identify variations from identified standards. Develop reports and inputs to improve the integration and synchronization of Special Operations (SO) capabilities. The Joint Training Information Systems Technician will utilize information technology, management systems, and web-based databases to identify, collect, analyze, store, and disseminate the data required to execute the Joint Training System. The JTIST will also use network technology to capture metrics and supporting data to identify variations from identified standards. Employ Capability Based Assessment systems to identify and assess required capabilities and associated performance criteria. Develop business intelligence tools and dashboards to provide objective and repeatable analysis that will inform deliberate and crisis action planning. Finally, the JTIST will develop reports and inputs to improve the integration and synchronization of Special Operations capabilities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in relevant area (military studies, business, education, instructional design, et.al.)
  • Minimum five years’ experience in relevant area (SOF operations, training program development, course development, etc.)
  • Minimum two years’ experience as a staff officer within HQ USSOCOM, a Service headquarters, or a combatant command headquarters (4-Star military HQ)
  • Expert knowledge of the missions, core activities, roles, and functions of USSOCOM and its components and commands
  • Possess a TS/SCI clearance
  • Demonstrated expertise in oral and written communications
  • Possess knowledge in strategic-level planning (e.g., operational design, military decision-making process, contingency plan development, etc.)
  • Possess knowledge and proficiency in using the following systems and tools: Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS), Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS), Execution Management System, In-Transit Visibility (ITV) system, Microsoft Office Suite.
