The Army Navy Business Group is seeking a Joint Terminal Attack Controller Instructor (JTAC-I) training analyst to provide JTAC classroom and range training, operate a JTAC simulator, and support student evaluation for the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center (NAWDC) in Fallon, NV. The role requires combat experience, strong interpersonal skills for working with Naval Special Warfare (NSW) students and staff, and expertise in assessing and updating JTAC curricula. Proficiency with Modeling and Simulation (M&S) systems, the ability to address complex combat challenges, assess dynamic situations, and guide students effectively are essential. Extensive experience in combat planning, execution, and junior personnel training is also required. Excellent public speaking, presentation, and time management skills are necessary, along with at least eight years of applicable experience in managing large projects, leading working groups, leveraging best practices, engaging senior staff, and conducting fleet training analysis. Specific Functional Area duties include providing JTAC-I support per the JFS ESC AP MOA 2004-01, JTAC (Ground) (JTAC MOA). This involves delivering classroom lectures, practical exercises, simulator training, and field instruction to JTAC students and JTACs in refresher syllabi covering JCAS and call-for-fire TTPs, including instructing and monitoring live controls. The role includes evaluating student performance and making recommendations for initial JTAC qualification. Practice and graded currency controls for qualified JTACs will also be conducted. The JTAC-I will develop and maintain the JTAC Course syllabus to meet JTAC MOA requirements and align with relevant joint doctrine. Assistance will be provided to the NAWDC JTAC Course for Joint Staff accreditation. The position involves assisting the Government JCAS staff in the safe execution of close air support (CAS) and Joint Fire Support training, including safety drills with emergency services. Support will also be provided for JTAC, fires, and communications for air wing training during designated events. The JTAC-I will act as the US Navy representative to the JFS ESC, developing TTPs and reviewing policy and doctrine. Maintenance, operation, and upgrading of JCAS equipment are also part of the role, along with performing instructional and supervisory roles in live CAS and operating ranges. Assistance with operating, maintaining, and/or managing C2 and communications, navigation, targeting equipment, simulation suites, digital situational awareness tools, and digitally-aided CAS systems is required.
