About The Position

As a Joint Strategic Planner, you’ll bring your national security subject matter expertise to help articulate strategic risk to senior leaders in the Department of War and to Congress. You’ll use your skills as you collaborate with senior military officers to lead Operational Planning Teams across the Joint Staff, Service Staffs, and Combatant Commands, conduct research and analysis, and prepare read ahead materials for General/Flag officers. This position requires access to restricted facilities and is conducted on-site.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in strategy or planning within the Department of War
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting the Joint Staff, Service Staff, Combatant Staff, members of Congress, or at a think-tank
Experience conducting risk analysis
Knowledge of the Department of War strategy and risk documents and processes
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
Master's degree in National Security Affairs, Security Studies, or comparable field
