About The Position

As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don’t. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to solve some of our clients’ most complex problems and find solutions that keep our nation safe. As a Defense Mission Expert on our U.S. Space Force (USSF) team, you’ll bring your expertise to work alongside thought leaders in science, software development and deployment, and Joint military operations on projects for multiple domains, multiple services, and multiple Combatant Commands. You’ll use your skills and expertise to directly engage warfighters on their needs and ensure incorporation into updated software development pipelines. On our team, you will engage with U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force warfighters. You will provide foundational knowledge on the operational environment and adversary capabilities, conduct Joint Force problem analysis, and advise on USSF service-provided solutions. As a member of our team, you’ll demonstrate a proactive approach to work, consistently anticipating needs and taking initiative to address challenges before they arise. Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience with the military at the operational or tactical-level
  • Experience at a service component headquarters
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
  • Ability to brief a variety of defense audiences, including senior military, civilian, and contractors
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Graduate of a Service Command and Staff School such as USN College of Naval Command and Staff, USAF Air Command and Staff College, or United States Army or Marine Corps School

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Joint or Service-level planning
  • Experience in surface warfare or military aviation
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite, including Confluence and Jira
  • Experience at a Joint or Coalition headquarters and operations center
  • Experience in the acquisition and development lifecycle
  • Master’s degree
  • Graduate of a Service-level Advanced Tactics or Instructor School such as USAF Weapons School, USN Top Gun, or MAWTS
