About The Position

Champion Construction Services, a division of Champion Home Builder, Inc., is seeking a Jobsite Superintendent to join their team in the NEW YORK region. This role is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in the execution of projects, with the ultimate goal of successful completion on time, with exceptional quality, and within budget. Requirements

Computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
5 years of construction experience including residential construction and directing work crews or similar experience.
Must have a reasonable knowledge of OSHA requirements and understand the required PPE for various tasks.
Must be able to read drawing prints.
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record background check.
Background check and Drug Screen are required.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of local building codes to include (but not limited to) 2009 IRC, UPC, IMC, and 2011 NEC.
DOT knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

Take direction from the Project Manager for the execution of daily tasks.
Assist in managing the flow of materials from suppliers and within the job site, ensuring timely arrival, proper type and quantity, and correct staging.
Assist in directing subcontractors in their daily work and maintaining a look-ahead schedule.
Review and inspect the quality of work from Champion's factories and work performed by Champion's subcontractors.
Create punch lists and coordinate their completion/resolution with subcontractors.
Assist in the coordination and resolution of warranty work from Champion's factory and subcontractors.
Perform minor warranty work and must be experienced in manufactured home production/repair.
Assist in maintaining job site work logs, including daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and safety documentation.
Perform safety inspections in accordance with Champion's safety plan.
Assist with or perform routine toolbox talks with all job site trades.
Travel throughout the region to oversee various job sites.
Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Project Manager.
