About The Position

Puck is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Job Shop Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality precision metal parts, tools, and other components by operating a variety of specialized machinery. You will ensure all work adheres to safety and quality standards, contributing to our commitment to delivering high-quality products in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, OR 3–5 years of machining experience or training (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in machining or a related field
• Solid understanding of metal properties and machining processes

• Experience with manual machine operations

Responsibilities

• Creating precision metal parts, tools, and components using a diverse range of equipment including lathes, milling machines (conversational and manual), and micrometers
• Preparing and operating machines to cut and polish raw materials and components to exact specifications
• Utilizing manual tools to finish projects, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to design specifications
• Thoroughly study design criteria, read and interpret blueprints, and analyze project/job specifications to determine the necessary equipment, materials, and processes for each
• Continuously monitoring machine operations and product output to identify and address any deviations from quality standards
• Reporting any equipment malfunctions, material defects, or safety concerns to the supervisor
• Strictly adhering to all applicable safety requirements and protocols during all operations
• Maintaining a clean, organized work area and ensuring all equipment is properly cared for
