The position of Job Developer reports to the Department of Rehabilitation Services Supervisor, working as part of the multi-disciplinary team to conduct all Pre-Employment, Employment Preparation, Job Development, Placement and follow up support as needed. This role involves providing consumer analysis of strengths and barriers to employment, recommending employment planning and services, procuring community situational assessment sites, and providing support at job interviews. The Job Developer will also attend employee-training seminars, conduct job analysis, develop job duty analysis, and provide professional mentorship to individuals in choosing, obtaining, and retaining employment. Additionally, the role involves developing and implementing goals for integrated community activities and job placements, identifying community resources, contracting for individualized job placements, and monitoring a data collection system for employment services progress. Collaboration with intra-agency teams, Regional Center, and Department of Rehabilitation representatives is expected, along with regular contact with employers to review trainee performance. On-site job coaching and accurate documentation of all hours spent with consumers are crucial. The Job Developer must report any health and safety incidents immediately to the supervisor and perform other duties as requested by management.
