About The Position

The Job Cost Accountant II will manage project finances from initial budgeting through completion. This role involves communicating and coordinating with Operations, Sales, and Accounting to gather and provide necessary financial information. The ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and meet deadlines is crucial. Successful task completion and problem-solving with minimal assistance will rely on sound judgment based on knowledge and experience.

Requirements

• Skilled in using financial software and tools
• Advanced Analytical and Problem-Solving skills
• Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information and data results
• Advanced proficiency (knowledge) with Microsoft Office 365.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred.
• Combining experience in accounting, cost accounting, or finance practices of 2 or more years with education is desirable.
• Previous experience with cost accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and interpreting statistical and accounting information to evaluate operating results, such as profitability and trends.
• Performing product cost analysis, preparing reports, and communicating findings to various departments.
• Serving as a strategic partner to management by providing insights and recommendations based on cost analysis.
• Maintaining data and determining cost standards for all products, providing cost data for new or changed products, and recording specific entries like efficiency variance and cost of sales.
• Executing all equipment sales orders and contracts, including reviewing order packages for accuracy and completeness.
• Creating system order entry, purchase orders, work orders, and managing the receipt of purchase orders and approval of invoices.
• Responsible for inventory control and maintenance, as well as the purchasing of stock and custom inventory.
