About The Position

Career Support Systems (CSS), a Chimes affiliate, is seeking compassionate and dependable Job Coaches to help individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain meaningful employment throughout the Staunton and Harrisonburg Corridor and surrounding communities. The Job Coach provides one-on-one coaching, workplace training, and encouragement to help individuals build confidence, gain independence, and succeed on the job. The starting pay is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook and Word.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized job coaching and on-site workplace support.
• Teach job-specific skills and reinforce workplace expectations.
• Document daily activities and participant progress.
• Build positive relationships with employers, coworkers, and supported employees.
• Partner with the Lead Employment Consultant to support successful employment outcomes.
• Communicate regularly with families, employers, and members of the support team.
• Collaborate with community organizations, schools, and vocational rehabilitation agencies.
• Prepare accurate verbal and written progress reports.
