Mentor Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role focuses on helping individuals experience the freedom that comes from learning to live and work independently. You will engage individuals by providing coaching, feedback, and demonstration of skill development tasks. You will also participate in matching individuals to employment or vocational opportunities, meet with employers to develop potential work opportunities, and ensure individuals are appropriately groomed and attired for employment. Additionally, you will provide constructive feedback regarding service plan goals, community employer expectations, and skill development, and deliver work adjustment training to improve work skills, behaviors, interpersonal skills, and ethics to help individuals maintain employment. Promoting communication with community contacts, co-workers, local agencies, and state offices is also a key part of this role.
