About The Position

As a Job Coach in our Janitorial department, you will provide person-centered job coaching to a small group (1:3) of individuals working in janitorial and cleaning services at various job sites. You will teach workplace skills, foster independence, and ensure individuals meet employer expectations while creating a supportive environment for long-term job success.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One (1) year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Experience in janitorial, custodial, or facility maintenance work is a plus.
• Valid California Driver’s License, auto insurance, and a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience with case management systems (Therap preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coaching individuals to perform janitorial and custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, restocking supplies, and proper waste disposal.
• Ensuring work is completed efficiently and meets quality standards.
• Teaching workplace safety, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, equipment use, and adherence to guidelines.
• Encouraging positive workplace habits such as punctuality, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• Monitoring progress and adjusting support as needed.
• Documenting progress and communicating with employers and case managers.
