About The Position

The Job Coach provides training and support to people with disabilities referred to Benchmark Human Services for community-based employment services. This part-time position covers Grant, Huntington, and Wabash counties. The schedule is 20 hours per week and requires flexible availability on weekdays and weekends, with shifts that may occur during daytime and evening hours. Daytime availability is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Three years of continued and verifiable employment within the two years before submitting an application.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement coaching strategies to help people served overcome employment-related challenges.
• Identify the strengths of people served and advise them on using those strengths to secure employment or advance in their chosen career path.
• Build relationships with community employers.
• Provide transportation as necessary.
• Teach appropriate work behaviors and interpersonal skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
