About The Position

At Access Community Care (ACC), we’re hiring compassionate, motivated individuals to join our Employment Services team as Job Coaches. In this role, you’ll support adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in real workplaces throughout the Portland metro area—helping them learn skills, build confidence, and succeed on the job. If you’re reliable, patient, and enjoy helping others grow, we’ll provide all the training you need to succeed. This role involves working one-on-one with individuals in real community job settings, getting out from behind a desk, and seeing the direct impact of your work in real time. ACC is a collaborative, mission-driven team that values inclusion, growth, and community impact.

Requirements

18+ years old
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Willingness to travel locally between job sites
Ability to pass required background checks
Comfortable with light physical activity (walking, standing, etc.)

Nice To Haves

Experience in I/DD, human services, or education is a plus—but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one support to individuals at their workplace
Teach and reinforce job skills and workplace expectations
Support communication between the individual and their employer
Encourage independence, confidence, and self-advocacy
Help individuals build positive relationships with coworkers
Track and document progress
Collaborate with a supportive team to ensure long-term success
Provide coverage at different job sites across the Portland area (Area Relief Job Coach)
Work with a variety of individuals and employers (Area Relief Job Coach)
Adapt quickly to new environments (Area Relief Job Coach)
