About The Position

JLL is seeking a skilled Job Captain to support and execute the day-to-day production of architecture construction documents for retail and/or restaurant projects. The Job Captain will be a valued team member, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of client projects. This role involves using AutoCAD to produce detailed architectural construction documents for multiple roll-out locations and serving as the main point of contact for project drawing deliverables and consultant coordination. The position requires recognizing potential problems and recommending solutions, reporting to Project Managers, and collaborating within the team to capture accurate information. Participation in site surveys may be required, though extensive travel is not anticipated. The Job Captain will review adaptations needed to fit designs within existing structures, ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements, and maintain required project documentation. Additionally, the role involves ensuring proper backup procedures are followed to prevent data loss, monitoring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of documents, details, and graphics, and assisting in the development of standards to ensure document quality and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design or comparable work experience
  • Proficiency in the application of architectural design standards, practices, techniques and concepts
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Solid time management skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain required performance level in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Must have exceptional standards for quality and a strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to work autonomously, as well as within a team
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience developing construction documents for retail and/or restaurant environments is a plus
  • Revit experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Uses AutoCAD to produce detailed architectural construction documents for multiple roll out locations
  • Performs as the main point of contact for project drawing deliverables and consultant coordination
  • Recognizes potential problems and recommends solutions
  • Reports to Project Managers and collaborates within team to capture accurate information
  • Participates in appropriate site surveys although much travel is not anticipated
  • Reviews (with Project Manager) any adaptations needed to allow design fit within existing structure
  • Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards and client requirements
  • Maintains required documentation of all projects and drawings generated
  • Ensures proper back up procedures are carried out to reduce lost data
  • Monitors quality, accuracy and consistency of documents, details and any graphics
  • Assists in the development of standards that will ensure document quality and accuracy
