About The Position

A technically strong architecture professional can have real influence here: helping shape design ideas, translating them into buildable details, coordinating the people who make projects happen, and staying involved through construction. The firm is looking for a collaborative Job Captain who can move comfortably between design thinking and technical execution. The position is intentionally hands-on across the full design process - from conceptual design through construction administration - rather than being limited to production-only responsibilities. This Job Captain role is designed for an architecture professional with at least three years of recent design-office experience who enjoys both design collaboration and technical problem solving. You will help develop design and construction-document packages, coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors, and stay engaged during construction through bid evaluation, site visits, technical issue resolution, and quality control.

Requirements

  • Professional degree in Architecture.
  • Minimum 3 years of recent design-office experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong technical capabilities related to building construction, building technologies, millwork detailing, and consultant coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills and a collaborative, positive working style.

Nice To Haves

  • On track for architectural licensure.
  • Experience contributing to technically detailed projects and carrying work into construction administration.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full design process from conceptual design through construction administration.
  • Communicate design ideas quickly and clearly through graphics and technical documentation.
  • Prepare design-development and construction-document packages with project teams and outside partners.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Apply strong technical knowledge of building construction and technologies, including millwork detailing.
  • Participate in construction administration, including bid evaluation, site visits, technical issue resolution, and quality control during construction.
  • Organize project information and support coordinated, timely project delivery.
  • Travel as required for project needs.
