About The Position

The Jaguar / Land Rover Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing Land Rover vehicles to manufacturer standards while delivering a high level of quality and efficiency. Technicians will perform routine maintenance, mechanical and electrical repairs, diagnostics, and advanced troubleshooting based on their skill level. This position works closely with Service Advisors and the shop team to ensure accurate, timely, and professional vehicle repairs.

Requirements

  • Previous Jaguar Land Rover automotive technician experience.
  • Level 2–4 JLR technician certification or equivalent automotive training and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
  • Ability to accurately diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, repair manuals, and technical service information.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment while maintaining a customer-first mindset.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Land Rover vehicles according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns using factory diagnostic equipment and repair information.
  • Complete multi-point inspections and accurately document vehicle conditions and recommended repairs.
  • Perform brake, suspension, steering, engine, transmission, HVAC, and electrical repairs appropriate to skill level.
  • Properly use and maintain hand tools, specialty tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all dealership and OSHA safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and management regarding vehicle conditions, diagnostic findings, repair status, and additional repair needs.
