Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting for a Jira Administrator , within our Robotics & Digital Solutions organization. The location for this position is Santa Clara, CA . In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, customization, and support of JIRA for various teams and projects within the organization. You will work closely with project managers, developers, and other team members to ensure JIRA is configured to meet their requirements and streamline their workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator.
  • Demonstrated experience creating complex workflows.
  • Good understanding of Jira automations and integrations.
  • Experience working with REST API in programming and automating Jira Workflows.
  • Implement and manage JIRA plugins and add-ons to enhance functionality.
  • Experience with Jira Service Desk and Confluence.
  • Experience with Agile principles and project management methodologies.
  • Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language).
  • Ability to work in a regulated environment in compliance to ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Jira for medical devices.
  • Experience with DevOps toolsets, such as Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for advanced JIRA customization.
  • Understands phases of the software development lifecycle and experience with release management.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal PMOs and other Jira SMEs to support SDLC with Jira configuration and management.
  • General Jira administration including front-end configurations, customization, plugins selection and management, integrations, and permissions/user-access.
  • Manage user permissions and roles in JIRA.
  • Act as the source for all Jira and Confluence related questions and tasks.
  • Maintain and create custom Jira projects and workflows.
  • Find opportunities to improve Jira setup and workflows to increase user efficiency.
  • Create custom dashboards and reports in Jira to provide end-users and leadership with important operational and performance metrics and status reports.
