About The Position

The Jet Vac Video Inspector performs safe and compliant video inspections of sewer and storm lines by conducting equipment checks, operating robotic or push camera systems, and capturing clear footage for assessment. Maintain and transport inspection equipment properly, documenting conditions and completing accurate reports in line with company and regulatory standards. Collaborate with site leads and reviewers to address findings, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure inspections are completed efficiently and safely. Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • 1 year DOT driving experience – waste & recycling services experience preferred
  • Drivers License & DOT Medical Card
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must maintain an acceptable driving record and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, background check, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.
  • Safety & Compliance Focus: Ability to follow safety procedures, conduct inspections, operate equipment responsibly, and comply with all traffic, site, and regulatory requirements.
  • Operational Execution & Reliability: Strong ability to plan routes, complete work efficiently and accurately, adapt to changing conditions, and maintain consistent, dependable attendance.
  • Communication & Issue Reporting: Effectively communicate with supervisors and teammates, represent the Company professionally, and promptly report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns.
  • Constant work outdoors with regular exposure to weather, elements, and traffic; occasional exposure to loud noise, dust/debris, and jarring conditions; limited exposure to chemicals.
  • Frequent sitting and walking/standing; occasional bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling; limited stair climbing and crawling; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs at varying heights, including overhead.
  • Continuous reading, screen use, mental focus, and hand-eye coordination throughout the workday.
  • Operation of specialized equipment (e.g., mechanical broom sweeper) and use of hand controls, foot controls, and fine motor skills.
  • Required use of appropriate PPE, including high-visibility apparel, eye, ear, hand, foot, head, lung, and skin protection.

Responsibilities

  • Route Execution: Review routes in advance, ask clarifying questions as needed, and complete assigned work on time with attention to quality.
  • Safety & Inspections: Complete required pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure equipment is safe and operational before starting work.
  • Equipment & Material Handling: Operate equipment safely and efficiently, follow traffic laws and site protocols, and handle materials according to disposal and safety procedures.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Immediately report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns and accurately complete required logs and paperwork.
  • Professional Communication: Represent the Company professionally and communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients.
  • Adaptability & Reliability: Respond effectively to changing conditions, solve problems as they arise, and maintain regular, predictable attendance.
