About The Position

Slicker Recycling is seeking a Jet Vac Vehicle Driver Operator to join their team. This role involves driving and operating specialist Jet Vac Tankers to service a variety of clients across the UK, including Petrol Forecourts, Distribution Depots, and Auto Garages. The position requires working away from home, Monday to Friday, utilizing a sleeper cab. Requirements

  • Driver CPC Class 2 Driving Licence
  • Have a productive organisational focus
  • Be self-motivated, adaptable and act on own initiative
  • Logical approach to problem solving and decision making
  • Knowledge of operations / H&S / scheduling practices
  • Excellent housekeeping

Responsibilities

  • Driving and operating specialist Jet Vac Tankers to service clients' needs, including Petrol Forecourts, Distribution Depots, and Auto Garages, on both planned and reactive bases across the UK.
  • Working away from home, Monday to Friday, utilizing a sleeper cab.
  • Working in a manner that brings credit to Slicker Recycling by displaying punctuality, a presentable appearance, and being well-mannered, polite, and courteous to clients and colleagues.
  • Ensuring all work carried out on site is in line with company legal/licence requirements and that all paperwork and site visit documentation is completed, signed off, and recorded accurately and compliantly.
  • Adhering to normal working start times of 6 am, working through to completion of works, with occasional earlier starts or later finishes as required by job/client needs.
  • Participating in overnight work on a rota basis to accommodate customer requirements.
  • Being part of the on-call rotation covering weekends (once trained/competent) and potentially working weekends to cover additional client requirements or backlog of works.
  • Demonstrating a flexible approach to working patterns to meet business needs.
  • Completing any required training for the role, which will be supplied by the business.
